Using Tattoo Genie Spray and Recovery Balm will help jump start the healing process for tattoos & piercings and protect the integrity of your art.

  • Spray area with Tattoo Genie Spray until moist before beginning tattoo or piercing.
  • Do not wipe off.
  • If desired, apply a very thin coat of Tattoo Genie Recovery Balm (less is better) during the process to improve gliding of tattoo machine and latex gloves.
  • To remove excess ink and blood from the surface of the skin, spray area with Tattoo Genie Spray (instead of using Green Soap)and wipe away. This will reduce the amount of ink dilution that occurs with the constant use of Green Soap.
  • To relieve irritation caused from wiping with paper towels, periodically spray Tattoo Genie Spray during the tattoo/piercing session and work it into the skin. Do not wipe off.
  • When finished with a session, clean area and wipe away excess ink and blood.
  • Lastly, spray Tattoo Genie Spray, apply a very thin coat of Tattoo Genie Recovery Balm and send your client on their way.
  • Have your client follow the Tattoo Genie 3 step protocol at home until completely healed.

Custom 3 Step Protocol

Wash hands with anti-bacterial soap before touching your tattoo!

At Home:

STEP 1: Cleanse area with a small amount of Tattoo Genie Cleanser. Rinse well several times with water to completely remove any residue and pat dry.
STEP 2: Spray area with Tattoo Genie Spray until moist.
STEP 3: Apply a very thin coat of Tattoo Genie Recovery Balm (less is better).

Repeat 3 times a day or as needed.

After completely healed you no longer need to use the Tattoo Genie Recovery Balm or Tattoo Genie Cleanser. Continue to use just the Tattoo Genie Spray 1-2 times a day (after showering and before bed) and let air dry. Daily use will maintain vibrant colors and tattoo clarity.

Additional Tips

Tattoo Genie Balm

Keep your tattoo from drying out for the first week by using Tattoo Genie Spray and Tattoo Genie Recovery Balm.

Avoid direct sun exposure immediately after getting a tattoo. It is a must to use sunscreen for 2 weeks to minimize sun exposure. Daily use of Tattoo Genie Sunscreen on your tattoo is vital to preserving vibrancy and clarity and to reduce fading.

Tattoo Genie Spray also works on other wounds (after all, a tattoo is technically a wound!), if you get a cut or scrape, try spraying some Tattoo Genie Spray on it a few times a day until it heals!
